Joe DeFranco, CSP has over 25 years of experience in construction, industrial, and crane safety consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Applied Sciences, Safety Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
Joe has been a Board Certified Safety Professional since 2001. He began his safety career in risk management at an insurance company in North Carolina, then spent several years as a Construction Site Safety Manager for a large industrial construction project.
Joe also worked as a Corporate Safety Director for an industrial construction and crane company in Raleigh, NC.
For the past 20 years, Joe has used his experience in safety and crane safety to provide safety consulting, training and expert witness services to various clients across the United States. Joe is an OSHA 500 course Outreach Trainer, a NCCCO certified crane operator and inspector and a MSHA certified instructor.
He has provided expert witness services for numerous cases and has provided OSHA and MSHA citation reviews. Joe is also a professional member of ASSP (American Society of Safety Professionals).
Brian McKendree, MS, CSP has over 25 years of experience in safety management and consultative services. He is a graduate of Marshall University and holds a Master of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
Brian began his safety career as a Corporate Safety and Health Manager for a construction company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Over his extensive career, he has served in various safety leadership roles including Safety Director and Field Services Director at several different companies throughout the Research Triangle region. Brian also worked on a large pharmaceutical construction project as the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) EHS Manager where at the peak of the project, there were over 3,000 construction craft members on site. Most recently, Brian served as the Director of Consultative Services for a safety consulting firm providing safety program development, audits, expert witness and safety and health professional placement services.
Brian is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP), an OSHA Outreach Instructor and a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). He is also a professional member of the ASSP (American Society of Safety Professionals).
